Getting to you in Mission Beach

The peninsula has one main road, Mission Blvd, and most homes sit on narrow pedestrian courts with no vehicle access. We park on the boulevard or a cross street and walk in with the tools, so a full court or a blocked alley does not delay us. For car lockouts the big lots are Belmont Park at Ventura Pl, the South Mission Beach lot at the jetty, just across the channel from Ocean Beach, and the bayside lots near Santa Clara Point. Tell us the lot and roughly where you are in it. On summer weekend afternoons Mission Blvd crawls, and we will give you an honest ETA rather than a hopeful one.

What we see most in Mission Beach

Mission Beach has a very high share of vacation rentals, so a lot of our work is turnover: rekeys between long-term tenants, keypad and smart locks for hosts so the code changes with every guest, and repairs when a door has taken a beating over a busy summer. Oceanfront hardware corrodes faster here than almost anywhere in the city, the same salt-spray problem we fight in Pacific Beach but worse on the courts; locks that should last decades seize in a few years. We replace with corrosion-resistant hardware and will tell you which finishes not to buy. Sliding patio door locks facing the boardwalk and the bay are another regular call.

From Belmont Park to the jetty

Belmont Park and the Giant Dipper anchor the north end, the jetty and the South Mission lot anchor the south, and in between the courts run off Mission Blvd with house numbers that confuse delivery drivers and locksmiths alike. Give us the court name and the number and we know the pattern. Bayside Walk homes face the calmer water of Sail Bay, with Crown Point on the far shore, but still get the wind; boardwalk homes get everything the ocean throws at them.
