Locksmith in La Jolla, from the Village to the Shores
La Jolla is a short run north of Pacific Beach, up La Jolla Blvd through Bird Rock to the Village or up I-5 to Torrey Pines Rd. On a normal day that is about ten to fifteen minutes to most of it. We serve the Village, La Jolla Shores, Windansea, Muirlands, La Jolla Farms and the neighborhoods around UC San Diego.
Getting to you in La Jolla
From Pacific Beach the boulevard runs straight through Bird Rock into the Village. The Village, around Prospect St and Girard Ave, has tight parking, so we find a spot and walk; that is normal here and does not add much time. For keys locked in the car the usual spots are the Kellogg Park lot at La Jolla Shores, the Coast Blvd parking near the Cove and Children's Pool, and Neptune Pl along Windansea. Hillside homes above the Village and in Muirlands and La Jolla Farms often have gated driveways, so tell us the gate code or meet us at the gate.
What we see most in La Jolla
La Jolla leans toward higher-end hardware: high-security deadbolts with restricted keys, master key systems across several doors and a guest house, smart locks that need to play nicely with gates and cameras, and pedestrian gate locks that have to work in salt air. Do you install high-security locks in La Jolla?
Yes. We install high-security deadbolts and restricted-keyway cylinders, so keys cannot be copied at a hardware store, and we can key them alike across a main house, guest house and gates. We will also tell you plainly when a good Grade 1 deadbolt with a reinforced strike does the job for less.
Do you come out to UC San Diego student housing?
For off-campus apartments and shared houses, yes, 7 am to 9:30 pm, every day. For university-run dorms and apartments on campus, contact your residential office first; they handle their own locks and can usually let you in faster than anyone. Can you work on my gate?
We handle the lock side of gates: pedestrian gate locks, keypad and code latches, mortise gate locks and rekeys so the gate matches the house key. Motorized driveway gate operators are a gate company's job, but we work alongside them and we can spec the lock hardware they install.
