Why we started
A Locksmith Pacific Beach is an independent, owner-operated mobile locksmith based in Pacific Beach, San Diego. We started it for a simple reason: too many people who search "locksmith near me" around here end up with a national call center, a subcontractor driving in from across the county and a price that doubles at the door.
We wanted to be the opposite of that. One local technician who answers the phone, quotes the job honestly, shows up quickly because PB is home, and does the work properly the first time. Lockouts, rekeys, car keys, smart locks, commercial hardware: the everyday lock and key problems of a beach neighborhood, handled by someone who lives in it.

How to tell a real local locksmith from a lead broker
San Diego is full of "local" locksmith listings that are actually national call centers reselling your job. Here is what a legitimate locksmith looks like.
- They give you a price on the phone, and it holds when they arrive.
- They answer with a business name, not a generic "locksmith service".
- They can tell you their California locksmith license number without hesitation.
- They ask for ID and proof you belong there before opening anything.
- They arrive in a marked vehicle with the tools to open the lock without drilling.
- Their phone number is local, not a national line that forwards to whoever is closest.
In California, every locksmith business must hold a Locksmith Company license from the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services, and the people doing the work must be registered with the state.
